BHOMAT

BHOMAT – Annual Sports and Cultural Festival

BHOMAT is RBKS’s flagship annual event, organised every year since 2008, celebrating youth, unity, sportsmanship, and tribal heritage. The term “BHOMAT” is derived from a tribal word meaning “our land / native region/homeland,” symbolising the deep cultural roots, collective identity, and pride of the tribal communities of the region.

BHOMAT is a three-day annual festival that brings together students from all 12 RBKS colleges and 7 RBKS schools on a single platform. The event features a wide range of inter-college and inter-school sports competitions, fostering physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and healthy competition among students.

In addition to sports activities, BHOMAT also includes a vibrant Annual Night Cultural Programme, where students showcase their talents through folk dances, music, drama, and cultural performances, reflecting tribal traditions and regional diversity. The festival provides an opportunity for students to express creativity, build confidence, and strengthen bonds across institutions.

Over the years, BHOMAT has become more than just an annual function—it is a celebration of RBKS values, promoting inclusiveness, leadership, cultural preservation, and holistic development of students. The event plays a vital role in nurturing unity among institutions while honouring the rich tribal identity that RBKS has been committed to serving since its foundation.
