This project is supported by Wells for India U.K., for the sole objective of land and water management to reduce vulnerability of the poor, tribal families with a livelihood security plan against drought in 9 villages (Kharadiya & Parevi). This program is implementing 8500 Hectare area and 2700 tribal family with purpose of increasing availability and access to safe drinking water, food and fodder to all, and increasing livestock base productivity, functional and effective SHG & CBOs for the management of the resources created and improvement to the livelihood of tribal families. The major project focus is on water.

We execute following projects:

  • Community Lift Irrigation
  • Water Harvesting Structures

This year 6 new water harvesting structure construction initiated at Kotra and Jhadol block of Udaipur. These structures will benefit 248 families. Cattle of these families also will benefitted with Anicut /WHS. It is expected that water availability in nearby wells will also increased both in terms of period and quantity.

  • Indo-German Watershed Development Programme

With support of funding agencies and other helpers, RBKS is implementing this programme in Mandwa Bhera Bahi & Tadi obari Block, Bichhiwara, District Dungapur. Each watershed on common land is a major intervention in this year’s formation of a 4 village watershed committee. This project is jointly implemented by VWC & RBKS.  In Particular CBP area Soil & Water Conservation activities were completed in this year. We are supported by NABARD in this programme.
