There were many events hosted and supported by RBKS in collaboration with our partnering agencies and people. Some are listed here:
Global Action Week
This year the theme for Global Action week is “Education –Youth Literacy Mission”. This week is being celebrating four villages with stunning packet programme, full of engaging activities and sharing of friendship.400 youths; 300 children participated during Action Week Celebration. Teachers, students and host of working group members actively organized the activities during the week. The activities include learning signature and a drawing and essay competition, in which 50 children learned how to sign. Overall it helped in supporting children, youth and adult literacy and life long learning.
Bal Mela(Children Fair)
The fair (mela) was an attempt to provide platforms the children where they can enjoy their childhood and also to spend a day where they are free from all worries and poverty, which they face at home. Our honorable guests Ms. Barbara and Mr. Austin were present to inspire the children. Several activities including sports competition, Local game, vegetable stalls and teaching & learning session in which children participated with lots of enthusiasm. When children get the opportunity to display their inherent talents their joys know no bounds. Keeping this in mind RBKS Organized a Bal Mela for the children in several districts including 18 villages.
Check up camp
During the year 19 health camps were organized in 19 remote villages of Kotra and Jhadol. During the health camp women, children, adults and males were checked and treated for diseases like viral fever, malaria, sexual diseases, immunization of children and pregnant, reproductive problems, cough, stomachache, headache etc. These camps are organized for one day each, where total of 1200 patients were provided counseling and treatment as per the diseases. A total of 30 blood samples were collected.
National Environment Awareness Campaign
Year by year environment is facing threats from human activities. To save the environment there is a national campaign to increase awareness of community in urban and rural area. This year RBKS operated colleges participated in the campaign with special emphasis on “Solid Waste disposal”, during the campaign 30 numbers of demonstration pits were dug and a meeting was organized.
